In Memory of Jenny Lou
We here at DEO Global LLC have lost a wonderful person in our lives to lung cancer last month and would like to have a little tribute to her on our website. We will be posting her songs that she wrote and sang and have been collected into a CD and in the hearts of all who loved her dearly. We hope you enjoy her music as much as we have throughout the years. The name of the song is I Want To Keep You and the singer is Virginia Lou Orndorff better known as Jenny Lou.
The picture of the Double Rainbow
Ok guys I finally got it and here it is. If you’ve never seen one and would like to here is one of the pictures of the double rainbow that was taken by my daughter over our camping trip and storm that followed last Father’s Day this picture was taken when they fled the storm and were heading home. If you have read the earlier post about the weekend others of us stayed and rode out the storm. We also were able to see the double rainbow but this picture was taken from their car somewhere around Cassville MO.
What a beautiful promise.

Love Life and Live
When I was a little girl about 8 years old I had the mumps and Momma and Daddy didn’t want me to infect my younger brother or sister with them so they sent me off to stay at my Grandmother and Grandpa’s house for 2 weeks to recover. I don’t remember feeling bad at all and remember that Grandma would tell me you weren’t supposed to talk so much when you had the mumps and that eating too many bread and butter pickles would make my throat worse. Sick little girls like me weren’t supposed to jump down off the side of the basement door like that…
It was time to go grocery shopping and we went to a corner country store that they always went to and I had never seen the likes of a store where you just gave the grocer the list of the items you wanted and waited at the counter and he went and gathered them all up for you. As you can imagine I was amazed. Talking all the while of course I told him and his wife that I had the mumps and was staying with my grandparents to recover and the older gentleman/store owner asked that I wait outside as he had never had the mumps and didn’t want to catch them from me.
Well this was back in the time when soda pop came in glass returnable bottles and you got a nickle for every one you returned. Grandma suggested I go out and look for some pop bottles to earn some money. I hit the jackpot when I went out around the side of the store and found a big stack of them on the store dock. I gathered up 5 or 6 as many as I could carry at one time and went back into the store to cash them in.
Made me some money that day and later when Grandma asked where I got the pop bottles from we were in the car getting ready to leave and I showed her she told me I had sold that man his own pop bottles. She had meant for me to go looking in the ditches where people threw them out.
I’ll never forget that time spent with my Grandma and Grandpa and the Damascus store where I looked up on the wall and they had this sign that said “I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes till I met a man who had no feet”
Basking in the Summer Heat
Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. Outdoor person that I am I love being close to nature and summer brings the perfect opportunity to get out and play in the dirt, enjoy some of gods greatest miracles, the grass, trees, clowds as they swirl across the sky, so many beautiful flowers. I was in the back yard the other day and looked down at the grass and a patch of clover and there right in front of me was a four leaf clover. I had to count over and over again before I picked it because I was sure it was just another leaf blended in with all the other clove but sure enough it was a four leaf clover and for those of you who don’t know are rare to find and supposedly bring good luck.
